Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using our services. By accessing our website or booking travel services with Atro Travel & Tours, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "Company," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Atro Travel & Tours
  • "Client," "you," or "your" refers to the person booking or using our services
  • "Services" refers to all travel-related services provided by our company
  • "Booking" refers to any reservation made through our platform
  • "Travel Documents" refers to passports, visas, tickets, and other required documentation

2. Booking and Reservations

Booking Process

  • All bookings must be made by persons 18 years or older
  • Accurate personal information must be provided at the time of booking
  • Confirmation of booking will be sent via email within 24 hours
  • Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by suppliers

Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after we have received full payment and sent you a written confirmation. Until confirmation is received, we reserve the right to decline any booking.

Group Bookings

Special terms may apply to group bookings (10+ persons). Group booking terms will be provided separately and may override certain provisions of these general terms.

3. Payment Terms

Payment Schedule

  • Deposit: 25% of total cost required at time of booking
  • Final Payment: Due 45 days before departure date
  • Late Bookings: Full payment required if booking within 45 days of departure

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • Bank transfers
  • PayPal
  • Cash payments at our office

Currency and Exchange Rates

All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified. Exchange rates are fixed at the time of booking confirmation. Currency fluctuations after booking will not affect the agreed price.

Important: Failure to make payments on time may result in booking cancellation and forfeiture of deposits paid.

4. Cancellation Policy

Client Cancellations

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 60 days before departure: 10% of total cost
  • 45-60 days before departure: 25% of total cost
  • 30-44 days before departure: 50% of total cost
  • 15-29 days before departure: 75% of total cost
  • Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of total cost

Company Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to insufficient numbers, force majeure events, or supplier cancellations. In such cases, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative arrangements.

No-Show Policy

Failure to show up for departure without prior cancellation will result in forfeiture of the entire amount paid.

5. Travel Documentation

Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure passports are valid for at least 6 months from travel date
  • Obtain all required visas and permits
  • Carry all necessary travel documents
  • Comply with health and vaccination requirements
  • Verify entry requirements for all destinations

Company Assistance

While we provide general guidance on travel requirements, it is your responsibility to ensure you have all necessary documentation. We are not liable for any issues arising from inadequate documentation.

6. Travel Insurance

Recommendation

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and other unforeseen circumstances.

Coverage Areas

  • Medical and dental emergencies
  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Baggage and personal effects
  • Travel delays and missed connections
  • Emergency evacuation

Insurance must be purchased within 14 days of initial trip deposit to ensure full coverage benefits.

7. Liability and Limitations

Company Liability

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the trip. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes made by airlines, hotels, or other suppliers.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for events beyond our control including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, government actions, or supplier bankruptcy.

Personal Belongings

We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Clients are advised to secure appropriate insurance coverage.

8. Changes and Modifications

Client-Requested Changes

  • Change fee of $50 per person plus any additional costs
  • Changes subject to availability
  • Some bookings may be non-changeable
  • Changes within 30 days of departure may not be possible

Company-Initiated Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to itineraries due to operational requirements. Significant changes will be communicated immediately, and alternatives will be offered where possible.

9. Health and Safety

Medical Conditions

Clients must disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to travel. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe it may compromise safety.

Activity Participation

Participation in activities is at your own risk. Age, fitness, and health restrictions may apply. Follow all safety instructions provided by activity operators.

10. Complaints and Disputes

Complaint Procedure

  1. Report issues immediately to our local representative or emergency contact
  2. Submit written complaints within 30 days of return
  3. Include all relevant documentation and evidence
  4. We will investigate and respond within 28 days

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through mediation first, then arbitration if necessary. All disputes are subject to the laws of Mauritius.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Any legal proceedings must be conducted in the appropriate courts of Mauritius.
